Joint Venture creates custom Energy solutions for Naval defence

 

Australian Naval Defence assets demand the highest quality Energy Management equipment available to meet the rugged requirements of operations both domestic and abroad. The AMI Group and ENAG have entered into an MoU to form a Joint Venture and a strategic partnership offering custom energy management solutions and supply to Australia’s Naval Defence projects, including design, manufacture, testing, commissioning, service and through life support.

ENAG are designers and manufacturers of chargers, power supplies, UPS systems, frequency converters (50/60 and 400Hz) for the naval and ground defence. All products are designed for intensive use, in security situations and are developed to meet the climatic, EMC and mechanical specifications associated with rugged environments.

ENAG’s international submarine references include power supplies and energy interface racks for Barracuda class Subs, auxiliary and main power supplies for SNG, and frequency converters and DC UPS for Naval navigation systems on board Scorpene and Agosta vessels.

AMI has offices throughout Australia, Singapore and Vietnam, capable of providing an extensive service network and experienced knowledge base, supporting the critical requirements of Defence, Primes, SME’s, yards and builders in the sector. AMI Group recently incorporated Cairns based i.Power Solutions, a specialist in energy and power distribution across marine, industrial and resource applications.
The AMI Group has a history of cooperation across various Naval defence projects, including provision of Parker Hannifin Sea Recovery Desalination systems for the ASC Collin’s Class fleet, plus various Navigation and Communications packages across OPV and Coast Guard Patrol vessels operating in the Australasian region.
